Advertising disclosure & funding

How Brokaro is funded and why that does not influence the ranking.

Current status

There is currently no approved affiliate agreement. Every broker link goes to the provider's ordinary website, and no click earns us anything.

This paragraph is generated from the stored contract configuration, not hand-written.

In short

Brokaro may be funded through affiliate links and clearly labelled advertisements. With an active agreement, we may receive a commission when you follow our link and fulfil the contractual conditions. Without an approved agreement, the link goes to the ordinary broker website. A click or registration alone does not automatically create a commission entitlement. Your fees and any promotions are governed by the broker's current terms.

How does it work?

Brokers run partner programmes that pay for referred clients. Payment follows one of four models:

ModelDescription
CPA / CPLPayment for a contractually defined event, such as a qualifying account
Revenue shareAn agreed share of specified broker revenue
HybridA combination of one-off payment and revenue share
AdvertisingAn agreed fee for separately labelled advertising space

When you click "Visit broker", an internal path (/go/...) forwards you. We count the click — for our own statistics. Where a partner agreement provides for it, we pass on a random click identifier with which the partner reports confirmed, reversed or paid commissions to us (see the privacy policy, section 6). The partner's system attributes and confirms any actual commission.

Why this does not change the ranking

That is the decisive question for any comparison site, so here is the concrete answer:

  1. 1The overall score is a formula. It falls out of ten sub-scores with published weights. Commission size is not an input to that formula — it simply does not appear in it. The weights are on the methodology page and you can reproduce the arithmetic yourself.
  2. 2An automated test checks it. The separate data validation checks that each published overall score matches the formula exactly. A score nudged up by hand fails that check, which must run before publication.
  3. 3We list brokers with no partner programme. An agreement is not required for inclusion. Your selected sorting and filters determine the editorial result list.
  4. 4Editorial rankings cannot be bought. Brokers may book separate premium advertising slots. These appear outside the ranking, visibly labelled Advertisement · Sponsored, and do not change scores or filter results. An advertisement is not an editorial recommendation.
  5. 5Drawbacks are named. Every review contains a criticism section, and that will not change for providers we go on to have a partnership with.

Where our interest actually lies

Honestly: we have a commercial interest in you clicking a link at all. We have no interest in sending you to the wrong broker — a user who opens an account and closes it in frustration earns us nothing under a revenue-share model, and a comparison site nobody trusts has no business left.

What you should do

Do not trust any comparison site blindly, including this one. Specifically:

  • Check the fees that matter to you directly in the broker's own pricing schedule.
  • Note the data date we publish for every broker.
  • Compare our assessment against at least one other independent source.
  • If a number here is wrong, tell us. We will correct it.

Labelling

Outgoing broker links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, and every page containing them shows a visible disclosure. Both are active regardless of whether an agreement exists for that broker — the labelling is not meant to appear only once the first contract does. How many agreements currently exist is stated at the top of this page and generated from the stored configuration, not written in by hand here.
