Our verdict

Our verdict3.8

MyInvestor suits investors who live in Spain and want their whole financial life — current account, funds, index portfolios, pension plan and the occasional share or ETF — under one Spanish bank licence. The fund offer is the standout: more than 2,400 funds, including Vanguard, iShares and Amundi index funds without minimums, no custody, purchase or transfer fees, and tax-neutral fund switches (traspasos), which only work through a distributor operating in Spain. The broker is fairly priced rather than rock-bottom: 0.12% per order with a EUR 3 minimum on shares and EUR 1 on ETFs, capped at EUR 25, with no custody or inactivity fee but a 0.30% currency fee on foreign trades and dividends. The trading toolkit is basic: quotes in the app are delayed 15 minutes, there are only limit and market orders, stop-losses work on three markets, fractional shares are not offered, and several tasks run through a co-branded Inversis website. Safety is solid for a non-listed bank: a Spanish banking licence, FGD cover of EUR 100,000 for cash and a separate EUR 100,000 for securities that cannot be returned, and segregated client positions. MyInvestor states that, because it is a Spanish bank reporting directly to the tax agency, its clients need not file the modelo 720 for holdings kept there; for residents of Spain who would otherwise have to file it, that is a practical reason to prefer a Spanish provider over a foreign app. Anyone who does not live in Spain, other than a Spanish national in another EU country or the UK, should look elsewhere.

Best for

  • Residents of Spain who want funds, index portfolios, pension plans and shares at one Spanish bank
  • Fund investors who switch between funds with tax-neutral traspasos
  • Investors who want their operations reported to the AEAT and, according to MyInvestor, no modelo 720 to file
  • Long-term ETF investors placing larger one-off orders, where the EUR 25 cap (reached above about EUR 20,800) and EUR 0 custody count

Less suitable for

  • Anyone who does not live in Spain (except Spanish nationals living in another EU country or the UK)
  • Active traders who need real-time quotes, stop orders on every market or derivatives
  • Small orders in foreign shares, where the EUR 3 minimum and the 0.30% currency fee weigh heavily
  • Investors who want fractional shares

Pros & cons

Pros

8
  • More than 2,400 funds with no MyInvestor purchase, custody, redemption or transfer fee, and tax-neutral fund switches
  • Shares and ETFs at 0.12% per order (EUR 3 minimum on shares, EUR 1 on ETFs, EUR 25 maximum) with no custody, inactivity or dividend-collection fee
  • Spanish bank licence (Banco de España code 1544, CNMV) with FGD cover of EUR 100,000 for cash and a separate EUR 100,000 for securities
  • Reports clients' operations to the AEAT; MyInvestor states that holdings kept there need no modelo 720
  • Index robo-advisor portfolios from EUR 150 at 0.15% management plus 0.15% custody a year, with weekly to half-yearly contributions
  • More than 100 pension plans, including MyInvestor's own indexed plans, in the same app
  • Free current account with SEPA transfers, Bizum and free cards; accounts opened from 1 September 2026 earn 2.50% AER for six months on up to EUR 70,000 (terms read 02.11.2026)
  • Handles the W-8BEN form, so US dividends are withheld at 15% instead of 30%

Cons

6
  • Only for residents of Spain and Spanish nationals living in another EU country or the UK, and an existing account at another Spanish bank is required
  • Quotes in the app are delayed 15 minutes; only limit and market orders, and stop-losses only on NYSE, Nasdaq and Xetra
  • 0.30% currency fee on foreign trades and dividends; Premium (EUR 7.99 a month) waives it only for US-dollar trades and dividends in its USD account and charges 0.25% on other currencies
  • No fractional shares, and options and futures do not appear in the broker's product list
  • Under the terms for accounts opened from 1 September 2026 (read 02.11.2026), idle cash earns 0.30% AER after the six-month welcome rate unless you invest EUR 300 to EUR 900 a month in selected products or hold an AXA policy taken out through MyInvestor
  • Corporate actions, takeover offers and FIFO lots run through a separate Inversis website, and account activation can take up to a month

Full review: MyInvestor

This review is based on official pricing schedules, legal documents and other available sources. It does not claim that we opened an account with this broker or tested it in practice.

Fees: 0.12% per order and no custody fee

MyInvestor prices its broker on one percentage: 0.12% of the order value, with a EUR 3 minimum and EUR 25 maximum on shares and a EUR 1 minimum and EUR 25 maximum on ETFs (broker page and the price list in the framework contract, version 19.01.2026). The minimum and maximum apply per security, even when several are ordered at once. Market costs come on top: on the Spanish exchange a canon of EUR 1.11 applies up to EUR 300 traded in a day, rising in steps to EUR 13.40 above EUR 140,000, and in the US the SEC fee of 0.00229% on sales is built into the sale price.

Trades and dividends in a foreign currency carry a 0.30% currency fee. The Premium plan (EUR 7.99 a month) removes the ETF minimum, caps ETF orders at EUR 20, lowers the currency fee on currencies other than the US dollar to 0.25% and adds a USD account in which US trades and dividends need no conversion. According to the USD account page, currency exchange costs 1% at weekends and on certain holidays.

What you do not pay matters as much:

  • EUR 0 maintenance, depositary, custody, inactivity and dividend-collection fees on the broker account
  • no MyInvestor purchase, custody, redemption or transfer fee on funds; only the fund's own costs apply
  • free securities transfers out; transfers in need a portfolio worth at least EUR 10,000

Worked examples: a EUR 1,000 ETF order costs EUR 1.20, a EUR 1,000 share order hits the EUR 3 minimum, and any order above about EUR 20,800 is capped at EUR 25. The robo-advisor's indexed portfolios cost 0.15% management plus 0.15% custody a year (VAT included), and an overdraft on the current account costs up to 7.25% nominal plus an overdraft commission of up to 0.50%.

Safety: a Spanish bank with two FGD covers

MyInvestor is the brand of MyInvestor Banco, S.A., a Spanish credit institution in the Banco de España register under code 1544 (Calle Columela 8, Madrid). The CNMV's register lists it among the credit institutions that provide investment services, and the ECB's list of supervised entities (October 2026) names it as a less significant institution, which the ECB supervises only indirectly; direct supervision lies with the Banco de España and, for investment services, the CNMV.

The MyInvestor brand was launched in 2017, according to its 'Conócenos' page. The bank's incorporation was authorised in 2012 under the name Andbank España; it became MyInvestor Banco on 9 January 2023 and absorbed MyInvestor, S.A. and the robo-advisor Finanbest in 2023. At 31.12.2025 Andorra Banc Agrícol Reig (Andbank) held 52.25% directly and 0.88% indirectly, and MyInvestor names Andbank, El Corte Inglés Seguros, AXA España and family offices as its backers. Its 2025 prudential report shows a net profit of EUR 3.1 million and a Tier 1 ratio of 57.1% including the year's result, and audited annual accounts are published for 2020 to 2025.

Protection works on two levels:

  • Cash is covered by the Spanish deposit guarantee fund (FGD) up to EUR 100,000 per depositor and bank.
  • Securities in custody have a separate FGD cover of EUR 100,000 that pays only if the bank cannot return them, never for market losses.

Spanish shares are held in accounts registered in each client's own name (cuentas nominativas), foreign shares and international funds in omnibus accounts with an individual record per client, and the contract describes the separation of client and own positions. Because the current account allows an overdraft and MyInvestor lends against portfolios, we do not record negative-balance protection. None of this makes any broker guaranteed safe.

Spanish tax: AEAT reporting, modelo 720 and traspasos

For a Spanish resident, the tax side is the main argument for MyInvestor. As a Spanish bank it reports clients' operations to the AEAT every year, so trades, dividends and interest appear in the draft income-tax return. MyInvestor states that, because it is a Spanish bank, its clients do not have to file the modelo 720 foreign-asset declaration for holdings kept with it. That is the provider's own statement; a tax adviser should confirm it for your situation.

Withholding follows Spanish rules, according to MyInvestor's pages:

  • 19% is withheld on account interest and on dividends
  • 19% is withheld on the gain when you redeem a fund
  • nothing is withheld on share and ETF sales; the gain is reported and taxed in your return

Fund transfers (traspasos) let you switch from one fund to another without realising a gain, as long as both funds are distributed by entities operating in Spain; MyInvestor points out that funds held through a foreign distributor cannot be moved tax-free to a Spanish one. Pension-plan contributions are deductible up to the lower of EUR 1,500 a year and 30% of earned income, and since 2025 plans can be cashed in once contributions are 10 years old.

For US shares, MyInvestor handles the W-8BEN form, so US withholding on dividends drops from 30% to 15%, which can be credited in the Spanish return. It does not reclaim excess foreign withholding automatically; that is left to the client.

Markets and products: shares, 2,400+ funds, robo and pensions

The broker offers more than 9,200 shares and ETFs. Its FAQ lists 25 market codes, among them BME Madrid, Xetra, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Borsa Italiana, the LSE, SIX, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm, Vienna, Dublin, NYSE, Nasdaq, Toronto, TSX Venture and Mexico. Besides shares there are UCITS ETFs, ETCs on commodities and ETNs, including more than 20 inverse or short products. Most US-domiciled ETFs are unavailable because they lack an EU key information document. Securities missing from the MyInvestor app can often be bought through the Inversis-MyInvestor website.

Funds are the core of the offer: more than 2,400 active and index funds, with Vanguard, iShares (including an iShares S share class that MyInvestor says it distributes exclusively), Amundi, Fidelity and NN index funds available without a minimum, plus MyInvestor's own funds. Carteras automatizadas — robo-advisor portfolios managed under delegation by Andbank Wealth Management SGIIC — start at EUR 150, come as five index profiles (Clásica, Pop, Indie, Rock and Metal) or hybrid portfolios, and can pay out a monthly income. More than 100 pension plans sit alongside, including indexed plans managed by Merchbanc.

Crypto is available only through exchange-traded products: the crypto page lists 21 ETPs on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, XRP, Litecoin and baskets from issuers such as Fidelity, VanEck, WisdomTree, 21Shares, iShares and CoinShares, traded like shares and without a wallet. Options, futures, CFDs and forex do not appear in the product list, and fractional shares are not offered.

App, web and the Inversis back office

MyInvestor runs on one mobile app and a matching web client, with the current account, cards, funds, robo-advisor portfolios, pension plans and the broker side by side. Orders are confirmed by an in-app signature on a linked device.

The design suits savers more than traders:

  • quotes are shown with a 15-minute delay; the order executes at the live market price
  • two order types, limit and market, with a start date up to one week ahead and a validity of up to four weeks
  • stop-loss orders only on NYSE, Nasdaq and Xetra, with a validity of up to 60 days and not on ETFs
  • whole shares only

The trading back end is provided by Banco Inversis, which MyInvestor calls the investment platform that serves it. A co-branded Inversis-MyInvestor website covers what the app leaves out: instructions for shareholder meetings, takeover offers, scrip-dividend elections, FIFO lots and average cost, detailed commission and exchange-rate records, and securities outside the MyInvestor catalogue after Inversis's own appropriateness test. It also serves as the fallback if the MyInvestor app is unavailable. Using two interfaces for one account is workable, but it is not seamless.

On the Apple App Store in Spain, the 'MyInvestor · Banco & Inversión' app had an average rating of 3.6 from 4,607 ratings on 02.11.2026, which points to a mixed user experience.

Account opening, funding and cash interest

Opening is 100% online and, according to MyInvestor, takes about five minutes with a DNI, TIE or passport, an email address, a mobile number and the IBAN of an account you already hold at another Spanish bank (the 'cuenta nodriza', which MyInvestor says regulation requires). Activation then takes between 48 hours and one month depending on the client type. Residents of Spain of any nationality can apply; Spanish nationals living in another EU country or the UK can too, with a consular certificate and proof of income. Accounts take up to two holders, and junior accounts exist for minors.

Money comes in by bank transfer; SEPA transfers are free, and MyInvestor says a transfer from a MyInvestor account reaches a robo portfolio the same day, one from another bank in 1–2 business days. There is no counter for cash deposits. The current account also offers Bizum and free debit and credit cards with one free cash withdrawal a month at any ATM worldwide.

Cash interest for accounts opened from 1 September 2026, on up to EUR 70,000:

  • 2.50% AER fixed for the first six months, then 0.30% AER
  • 1.25%, 1.75% or 2.50% AER with net monthly investments of EUR 300, EUR 600 or EUR 900 in selected robo portfolios, MyInvestor funds or pension plans; an AXA insurance policy taken out through MyInvestor also earns the 1.25% tier
  • Premium (EUR 7.99 a month): the ECB deposit rate plus 0.10 points, shown as 2.6% AER on the account page; the Premium USD account pays 2.75% AER on up to USD 70,000

Interest is paid monthly, net of 19% withholding. Rates were read on 02.11.2026 and are linked to the ECB deposit rate, so they change.

Research, education and customer support

Research tools are thin. The broker offers a security search by type, currency and country, quotes delayed by 15 minutes and the funds' prospectuses and key information documents; we found no stock screener, analyst research or real-time data on MyInvestor's pages. In 2026 MyInvestor also made its investment catalogue searchable from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity.

Education is stronger than the research side:

  • MyBlog, the bank's financial-education blog
  • webinars with industry experts and in-person events
  • a podcast
  • a financial-adviser course with Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Aditio, which MyInvestor describes as certified by the CNMV (Premium clients get 20% off)

Support runs by phone on +34 910 005 981 (the account FAQ also gives 910 005 961) and by email. The legal information page states business hours of 09:00–18:00 without naming the days. We found no live chat for the bank's own customer service. Premium clients get priority on the phone line. Complaints go first to the customer-service department (atencion.cliente@myinvestor.es) and then, if unresolved, to the complaints services of the Banco de España, the CNMV or the DGSFP. The website, contract and support are in Spanish; the App Store lists English as an app language too, but we found no English-language support.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. MyInvestor Banco, S.A. is a Spanish credit institution in the Banco de España register under code 1544 and is listed by the CNMV for investment services; the ECB lists it as a less significant institution. Cash is protected by the FGD up to EUR 100,000, and securities have a separate FGD cover of EUR 100,000 if the bank cannot return them.
